Windy Weekend!

Father's Day weekend did not turn out in any way shape or form as we had planned it!! First, Andrew had to work and extra day and so he was not able to come until Friday. Secondly, Megan's water lines were cracked and blown up, as they froze over the winter. They did not know that until they went to fill up with water and head out to meet us. They were not able to come. Then we get to the lake and a fishing derby is happening over the Father's Day weekend - almost all of the sites were reserved. We had to park at the west end - with little protection from trees, but they were nice grassy sites, so we set up. Then the wind started to blow...and blow...and BLOW!!! We gave up on BBQ anything. We couldn't start a fire. We could hardly stand up at certain points. The guys tried to go golfing and ended up sitting in the clubhouse, warming up with drinks. When I saw this sign, I couldn't help but want to add another board to the bottom, that would say "If the rock isn't here, it has blown away and you should get to hell out of here!"
